Those who work from home need to remember one thing: working from home doesn’t define us. It’s something we define.
Just like a canvas doesn’t determine whether a painting will be a masterpiece.
Just like a piano doesn’t dictate what type of song you’ll compose.
Or a language determining what kind of screenplay or book you’ll write.
Circumstances don’t determine outcomes.
We determine outcomes.
Whatever We Do During This Time, Don’t Distance Yourself From What Makes You Amazing
Everything that surrounds us started as an idea. The difference between the ideas we see and the ones that people merely grumble about? It’s this:
Ideas brought to life with action are what we call “accomplishment.” Some do it quickly. Others take more time. But they each involve action. Initiative. Resolve. Resilience.
Those who make less of an idea are showing you their last remaining strand of failure. Their actions share one concept: “They lost so why shouldn’t you?”
“Losers” gave up on their dream.
“Winners” stuck it out and persisted.

The first of this series for this new era of working from started out this way, acknowledging our interconnection:
The second in this new series addressed how much has changed so quickly:
How to Crush It While Working From Home (and Not Lose Your Mind)
Circumstances are along for the ride. As a passenger, not the driver.
The gas doesn’t win the race, the car driver does.
Our hair color doesn’t determine if we’ll be a leader or a follower, a rebel or a conformist, or an innovator versus an order taker.
In this new “work from home” era of business, leaders must lead.
And just because it’s from home doesn’t mean it’s less vital than if it’s from an office.
