Message to CEOs: Preparing for the Recovery

If you’re not preparing for the recovery now, you’re already behind the eightball.

Today’s One Minute Wednesday is not a feel-good motivational video. It’s highly practical and points to the one thing you MUST control during this time: Ingenuity.

Some of my clients are THRIVING right now because of the business category they’re in.

Others are having their cities or industries shut down, so we can ALL have a faster recovery by “flattening the curve” of #COVID19 and the #coronavirus.

Preparing for the Recovery

Your greatest asset as a person, as a business, as a human, is your ingenuity. 

So I am telling all my clients, this hysteria and instability WILL come to an end. Not IF but WHEN. and HOW SOON.

Get inventive on how to help others, help clients, help colleagues, and help staff.

We must win this TOGETHER. 

This is why today’s video is about one client that refined their brand story to add relevance. This was accompanied by an overhaul so people would CARE ABOUT and REMEMBER their brand WHEN THEY WERE READY TO BUY.

PEOPLE WILL BE READY TO BUY AS WE RECOVER. ARE YOU PREPARING FOR THAT?

Take this time to get MORE ingenious so you are MANY steps ahead when the recovery comes.

It WILL come. It’s merely HOW FAST and you want to be ahead of that curve.

Ingenuity in Action

It took me three days to figure out ANYTHING to say.

My imagination had dried up over this insane pandemic.

Until Bryon Remo from LinkedIn reached out to me and it stirred my imagination.

We collaborated on an idea that embraced INGENUITY (that’s at least where my mind went with it).

This resulted in a post that over 1.5 days got over 10,000 views and is growing. Here it is:

The Headline: THE ULTIMATE SPRING BREAK COFFEE BREAK

The post: This morning, Bryon Remo and I exchanged messages based on an idea he proposed:

A slip-and-slide bathed in Purell that culminates in a Purell Pool splash… (Don’t see the animation? View on a laptop or computer instead of a mobile device)

Once completed, the “dunker” then gets up and walks into the local coffee shop and qualifies for a free cuppa Joe.

  • This would promote safety.
  • This would promote responsible fun (during a stressful time).
  • This would promote the coffee shop.
  • This would go socially viral. How refreshing is that?

Time to get inventive everyone.
