Let me state this for the record: This selfie was not planned.
Let me also state for the record: I do not smoke nor do I ride a motorbike.
But I do do my own stunts.
Comparing this to Ellen DeGeneres’ Oscar selfie (an inevitable comparison that many will make), my selfie has no Hollywood A-listers. No millions of TV viewers. No product placement by Samsung for their Galaxy smartphone.
Nope. Just me, a motorbike and some James Dean attitude.

A Selfie Is Born
I was simply walking and saw this restaurant having an Italian theme night with street signs, great food and an Italian motorbike.
Inspired, I took a shot of me on the bike. Sitting on this bike, I gave it my best James Dean “attitude.”
What you see above (with a close-up below) is the result (the cigarette and smoke were added afterwards). It was the words above me that magically appeared out of nowhere…. 😉
