This is about branding only a mother could love.
I know you’re awesome. Your mother knows you’re awesome. That’s part of the problem.
Because it may take a little while for a complete stranger to recognize your “inherent awesomeness.”
Don’t Become a Victim of Branding Only a Mother Could Love
Whatever you do, don’t make these common business and branding mistakes thinking:
- “We’ve spent years and tons of money and talent making this, so somebody’s going to recognize it.”
- “We’re better than our competitors, so we must be successful.”
- “Smart people will find us.”
- “We do good, so we deserve to succeed.”
I elaborate this point here in today’s One Minute Wednesday:
So while you may be amazing and very deserving of the greatest success available, realize this: the greatest entrepreneurs and leaders of our time are hustling more now than ever.
If they are, trust me: we better raise our game too. So if you are not pounding on everything to make tomorrow amazing, you just may be testing your mother’s love.
But know this: I still love you (even if mom’s gotten impatient with you).
