The most inspirational speech I’ve ever given happened in Slovenia recently at the close of a 2-day annual conference.
I was asked “I had the privilege to read your book. So many great pieces of advice in there. If you can pick one that we should leave this room with, which one would you pick? And why?”
This is my unscripted answer:
Why Is This My Most Inspirational Speech?
Because it was from the heart and is a vital detail most brands miss: You can ALWAYS do something great. Truly.
Yes, branding has many key details such as differentiation, etc. but all of that can be undermined if you lose sight of one detail: watering down what’s possible.
The remedy: decide to always EXCEL.
Aim higher. Think bigger. Dream larger. Challenge the bigger standard. Embrace the bigger problem.
It’s what leaders do. It’s what artists do. It’s what every dreamer, rebel, innovator, and entrepreneur you ever looked up to did.
So why not embody that for yourself and others?
