Apple and Amazon know this fact: if you don’t prove yourself at every turn, you’re losing customer confidence and sales.

Social proof is one of the most important tools to grow a brand.

Apple and Amazon: 100% Proof

The world’s best brands use these tools every day to generate tens of millions of dollars in revenue.

In addition to Apple and Amazon, Yelp, Etsy and Kickstarter use this thing called social proof every day.

It influences us at every turn.

But not everyone has the budget to spend on some high-priced celebrity to influence a purchase.

So what tools can you use today with little to no cost?

I dug deep into my own tools that I have used to show exactly how I’ve grown my brand to the ever-increasing numbers of CEOs, brands and entrepreneurs throughout the world.

Social Proof Defined

How many times have you changed your purchase decision because there were too many “1 star” ratings on something you heard was good?

Or changed your mind on a reservation because one too many people said the service sucked at a particular restaurant?

Or chose a competitor because you read a tweet review of some new gadget?

All of that is social.

If it’s good, it’s proof.

If it’s bad, you’ve lost that customer.

Definition: Social proof is evidence (the proof) that other people have chosen a product/service—such as reviews, likes, numbers of followers, social shares, testimonials or how many stars the product has been given by others.
